The race car:

  • Originally built as a '69 Torino for NASCAR racing by John Nissen and driven by J.C. Danielson - changed to a Mercury for aerodynamics when the '70/'71 Montego/Cyclone body style was introduced: track record at Skagit Speedway in '72, 9th at Riverside in '73
  • Began racing again in NASCAR configuration in '99
  • Updated and prepared by Hall Fabrication & Racing
  • 429-based 555c.i. Big Block Ford - Merc9: Mercury 429
